The real world --- CAGAYAN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL --- This school has brought me a lot of learnings.. Though its quite hard to deal with some students, still I managed to handle them..
Cagayan National High School --- the real world! My real world! It was last year (2009) when we (BSE-4 students) have started our practicum at the said school. Although it wasn't my first time to be there, I still felt nervous and excited.
I never imagined myself teaching on the school where I graduated (in High school). Never ever! But after a long time of stay there, I have already overcome a little of those feelings I had before. I have learned things which I've never done before... I've learned things from my students and of course I know they're also learning form me.
In terms of my teaching, I share my students ways on how they'll not fing difficulty in learning Mathematics. I show them how I appreciate Math by simply telling them how Math helps me in everyday of my life. Sad to say but I don't use any technological materials in my teaching career. I don't have a laptop or a personal computer at home. That's possibly a reason why sometimes my students get bored with my lessons. But then I still make it to a point wherein they still understand the lessons even if I just use the chalkboard. My students still enjoy solving on the board.. They still enjoy what we call traditional way of teaching. Indeed, I still enjoy too!
Traditional technology --- the use of textbooks and chalkboard is insufficient, but for me as of the present time this is still enough to present topics to my students for I really can't afford one teaching technology. But I assure you, I will be using technology when I will already be earning money...
