UNiFeST`10 @ SPUP!!

Before the BIG EVENT came, I already planned of what I am going to be and to do:

As a student, I have to attend the 4-day activity at SPUP..
As a preservice teacher, I have to devote time at CNHS..
As an officer, I have to assist the players assigned to me..
As a lover, I have to support my love one in his game..
As an ordinary person, I have to see to it that I accomplish something in a day..
I got confuse of my responsibilities, of how I am going to divide my time in order to take all those. nevertheless, I took that as a challenge for me to be a good time manager and a better person than I was before.

JANUARY 23,2010
It was around 7 in the morning when I woke up. I was planning not to take a bath anymore, yet I forced myself because I'm not used in going out from the house without having a bath. After few minutes of stay in our comfort room, I went in our bedroom and prepared myself. due to some interventions, I came lato to school. Thus, I was still glad for my presence there ('cause I still believe in the saying that "it is better to be late than never.") I have witnessed the presentation of the Paulinian high schoolers. They're really great! After so was the introduction of the sports coaches and referees followed by the parade of the players from the different departments in the university: School of Accountancy and Business (SAB), School of Arts, Sciences and Teacher Education (SASTE), School of Health Sciences (SHS), School of Information Technology and Engineering (SITE), and of course the High School (HS) department. The players had their oathtaking and in the afternoon at exactly 1:30 was the official opening of the games such as volleyball, basketball, table tennis and badminton. I, together with my co-officer stayed at the gym to watch the games there but after a while I went out because I got bored. Honestly, I have no interest in sports, I'd rather sleep than watch such. I hate wasting my time for things which I really don't care about. Well, I'm sorry for my words. But those are REAL words coming from my dirty mouth. Aha!
(Go Paulinian High schoolers!!)

At around 3 in the afternoon, a friend of mine texted me. He invited me for a snack. I accepted it and there in the field, we shared stories. We had fun together. We kept laughing not caring anymore about the time, that we still needed to part ways to attend on our duties as officers of our own departments.

At around 5 in the afternoon, I decided to go home immediately because I still have something to work on at home. I really wished to watch the Musikahan'10 that night, but sad to say, my wish wasn't granted. But I had NO REGRETS because I knew that what I've done at home was more important than what I could have done in school.
I had a great time in school but I was hoping that the following day/s would even be greater or better.

JANUARY 24,2010
I woke up early, but I came to school quite late. Wanna know why? I was not feeling okey that morning. It seemed I had a fever, but the truth was I had none. I felt sleepy while celebrating the Holy Eucharist. But I made way to relax, to be just alright because I didn't want to start my day badly.

After the mass, I together with my classmates went to our Gym to witness the final debate. The finalists were the representatives form SATE and SHS. At first, I felt nervous thinking that we might lose because the members of the other side were also good debaters. But during the battle, I already felt that it is us who will get it..and my instinct was correct! We made it. We got it! We won! Yehey.
(Go SASTE debaters!!)

After the debate, I went at the Student Center to see someone special to my heart. Like what I have said, I really don't have interest in watching sports. But because of him, I gained a little (interest). I watched him play (basketball), but only for few minutes because expectedly I got bored. (Hahaha!) Congratulations to their team (SITE)! They won over the high schoolers. And because of that, he treated me lunch (thanks to him I was full).

Afternoon came, I was alone. I wasn't looking for a companion but someone approached me --- a friend! She was my classmate when we were still in 1st year college. We talked about our present lives. We also had "chikas" about other people..and also shared anything under the sun just to kill time. Aha! When we were already both tired talking, we decided to separate ways. She went home and I stayed in school. I stayed because I still have something to do --- to watch for the Musical Dance showdown.
It was already late in the afternoon (early in the evening) when the show started. I was with my love one. We viewed the different contested categories: Paulinian songsters, Celebrity duets, Retrodance, Paulinian World Talent and Pop Sayaw. The people were very supportive of their own bets (contestants/representatives). I enjoyed a lot shouting the name of my own department (SASTE) whenever it's our turn to showcase our performances. (Wooo!) I had a great night, better than the 1st... (Go SASTEAN retrodancers!!)

JANUARY 25, 2010
The parade of Saint Paul University Philippines family...
Honestly, I didn't attend the parade because my head ached early in the morning. Another thing, I went at CNHS to let my lesson plan (for my final demonstration) be checked by Mr. Romero (the Mathematics head teacher). I just asked a friend about the activities in our school while I was away that's why I knew that day was the Championship game for Basketball.

In the afternoon, I didn't enter school anymore because I was already rushing for my instructional materials for my demo.

In the evening, I haven't watched the stage play (musical play entitled The Hunchback at The Notre Dame). I just stayed at home without anymore caring anymore for the activity in school. Peace!

JANUARY 26, 2010
Here comes one of the most awaited part of the big event --- the Awardings (of certificates, trophies, medals)!

Although I was not around that day, still I congratulate those who made it. To tell you, we are the over-all CHAMPION.
We made it.
We worked for it.
We got it.
We won.
We are the Champs!
"SASTE" is the "BEST"!
Thanks God...
